Quality Policy

Quality isn't just a requirement - it's a core commitment. Our products meet all the highest industry standards for performance, durability, and safety.

For Tesla Power Energy, quality isn't just a requirement but rather, a core commitment. Our products meet all the highest industry standards for performance, durability, and safety. Tesla Power Energy performs careful quality checks to guarantee reliability and excellence of all products. We believe in consistent quality driving trust and performance.

The Standards Behind It

Quality Claims Mean Little Without a Standard

Every supplier claims rigorous quality control. What separates the claim from the practice is whether an external body audits it — and against which standard.

Tesla Power Energy operates to ISO 9001 for quality management and IATF 16949, the automotive industry standard. The second matters more than it first appears: IATF 16949 is built on ISO 9001 but adds requirements for defect prevention, variation reduction and supply chain control, and it is normally a condition of supplying vehicle manufacturers directly. Holding it indicates a system built to automotive expectations rather than general manufacturing ones. Alongside these, ISO 14001 governs environmental management and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety.

Product certifications sit separately and are category-specific — BIS, IEC, UL, CE, DOT, ECE R54, UN38.3, RoHS and REACH depending on the range. The compliance management policy sets out which applies where, and each product page lists the certifications for that range.

Testing in Detail

What Gets Tested, and Why.

“Multi-stage testing” is a common phrase. These are the stages it refers to and what each one is actually protecting against.

Stage What is checked Why it matters
Incoming materialLead purity and alloy composition, separator and casing material, base oil and additive specificationContaminated or off-specification input cannot be corrected later in the process
In-processPlate weight and thickness, paste consistency, weld and seal integrity, fill accuracyCatches variation while it is still recoverable rather than at final inspection
Electrical performanceCapacity at rated C-rate, cold cranking amps, open circuit voltage, internal resistanceConfirms the product actually delivers the figures printed on the label
Endurance and cyclingDeep discharge recovery, cycle life at stated depth of discharge, float life indicatorsService life is the specification customers judge a battery on
Environmental stressHigh temperature operation, vibration resistance, humidity and thermal cyclingSimulates tropical, high-vibration and rough-road conditions before the field does
Safety and containmentLeak and pressure testing, terminal strength, casing impact resistanceSealed construction and flame arrestor function only count if verified
Finished goodsBatch sampling against specification, labelling and packaging verificationEnsures what ships matches what was approved, batch after batch

A Sample Proves Very Little

Any manufacturer can produce one excellent unit. What a distributor needs is the twentieth container matching the first — which depends on documented process, in-process checks, batch sampling and traceability rather than on final inspection alone. Consistency is the specification that matters most in trade supply.

Quality and Warranty Are the Same Commitment

Process control determines how many units fail in service; warranty determines what happens when one does. A supplier with weak control eventually pays for it in claims and in reputation, which is why quality investment and warranty exposure move together rather than being separate budgets.

Quality is integrated in every process at Tesla Power Energy. From buying reliable car batteries online to supplying advanced energy storage solutions for manufacturers, we uphold the highest levels of reliability and sustainability. Through combining cutting-edge energy storage technologies and our steadfast commitment to excellence, our batteries redefine industry standards and provide you with performance you can trust and quality you can rely on.

Common Questions

Quality, Answered.

Standards, testing, verification and what batch consistency means for trade buyers.

Which quality standards does Tesla Power Energy work to?

ISO 9001 for quality management across the organisation, and IATF 16949, the automotive sector standard built on ISO 9001 with additional requirements for defect prevention and supply chain control. Alongside these, ISO 14001 covers environmental management and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety. Product-level certifications differ by category and include BIS, IEC, UL, CE, DOT, ECE R54, UN38.3, RoHS and REACH.

What does multi-stage testing actually test?

Testing runs from input to despatch. Incoming material is checked for purity and specification. In-process checks cover plate weight, paste consistency and weld and seal integrity. Electrical performance testing confirms capacity, cold cranking amps and internal resistance against the rated figures. Endurance testing covers deep discharge recovery and cycle life. Environmental testing simulates heat, vibration and humidity. Safety testing verifies leak resistance, terminal strength and casing integrity. Finished goods are sampled against specification before despatch.

How can a buyer verify a certification is current?

Certification bodies maintain registries, and a certificate carries an issuing body, a certificate number and validity dates. Any buyer can request the current certificate and verify it directly with the issuing body rather than relying on a logo. For tenders requiring supplier evidence, the regional team can supply current documentation applicable to the relevant market and product category.

Why does batch consistency matter more than a sample?

Because a good sample proves very little. Any manufacturer can produce one excellent unit; what a distributor needs is the twentieth container matching the first. That is precisely what a quality management system exists to control — documented process, in-process checks, batch sampling and traceability. It is also why IATF 16949, built around defect prevention and variation reduction, is a more demanding standard than a general one.

How does quality assurance relate to the warranty?

They are two sides of the same commitment. Testing and process control determine how many units fail in service; warranty determines what happens when one does. A supplier with weak process control eventually pays for it in claims, which is why quality investment and warranty exposure move together. Warranty registration and claims are handled through the support pages.

What does continuous improvement mean in practice?

Acting on what field performance shows rather than only on internal targets — improving efficiency and service life, reducing the carbon footprint of production, and strengthening safety features. Under ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 this is not optional: both standards require documented improvement activity and are re-audited, so a system that stops improving loses its certification.
