JASO MA2 certified motorcycle oil with wet-clutch safe formula - delivering superior protection and smooth shifting for two-wheelers.
A car keeps its engine oil, gearbox oil and clutch entirely separate. Most motorcycles do not. A single oil lubricates the engine, is sheared between gearbox teeth, and bathes the clutch plates — and each of those wants something different from it.
The engine wants a stable film at high revs and high temperature; motorcycle engines routinely run at engine speeds a car would never see. The gearbox physically cuts oil molecules apart between gear teeth, so an oil that is not shear-stable thins permanently within a few thousand kilometres. And the wet clutch needs a precise, consistent level of friction — too slippery and it slips under load, glazes and fails.
That last requirement is why car oil is actively harmful in a motorcycle. Modern car oils contain friction modifiers added for fuel economy, harmless with a dry clutch, ruinous with a wet one. Bloom Max is rated JASO MA2 — the highest-friction wet-clutch grade — alongside API SL, a Group II+ virgin base oil, and anti-foaming additives for high-speed gear trains. Available in 10W-30, 10W-40, 20W-40 and 20W-50.
Friction-modified formula ensures smooth clutch engagement without slippage - critical for motorcycle transmissions.
Maintains protective film strength at the extreme RPMs and operating temperatures of motorcycle engines.
Single oil protects both engine and integrated gearbox - reducing wear on gears, bearings, and cylinder walls.
Low pour point ensures instant oil circulation on start-up, even in cool morning conditions.
Balanced viscosity profile delivers power efficiency without sacrificing protection at high temperatures.
Prevents oil aeration in high-speed gear trains, maintaining consistent lubrication under aggressive riding.
Premium base oils resist oxidation longer, allowing confident extended drain periods for daily riders.
From city commuting to highway touring and sport riding - one formula that handles it all.

Get in Touch →API rates an oil's protection. JASO rates its friction — which for a motorcycle with a wet clutch is the specification that decides whether the bike drives properly at all.
| Rating | Friction level | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| JASO MA | Standard wet-clutch friction | Geared motorcycles with a wet clutch |
| JASO MA1 | Lower band within MA | Wet clutch, lighter duty |
| JASO MA2 (Bloom Max) | Highest wet-clutch friction | Firmest engagement, best slip resistance under load |
| JASO MB | Low friction, modified | Scooters and machines without a shared wet clutch |
Most automatic scooters use a centrifugal clutch and a CVT outside the engine oil, and usually specify JASO MB. Geared motorcycles with a wet clutch need MA or MA2. The rating is printed in the owner's handbook — worth confirming rather than assuming, because the two are not interchangeable.
10W-30 and 10W-40 cover most commuter and modern engines, with 10W-40 the most commonly specified. 20W-40 and 20W-50 hold a thicker film at temperature, which suits hot climates, older engines and high-mileage machines with wider clearances.
Common Questions
JASO ratings, wet clutches, viscosity grades and distribution — the questions riders and workshops ask most about two-wheeler engine oil.
JASO is the Japanese Automotive Standards Organization rating for four-stroke motorcycle oils, and it measures friction rather than wear. MA covers oils safe for a wet clutch, MA2 is the higher friction grade within that, giving the firmest clutch engagement and best resistance to slip under load. MB is a low-friction grade for machines that do not share oil with a clutch. Bloom Max is rated JASO MA2.
Modern car oils contain friction modifiers — molybdenum and similar additives — added to improve fuel economy. A car has a dry clutch in its own housing, so slipperier oil costs nothing. Most motorcycles run a wet clutch bathed in the same oil as the engine, and those friction modifiers make the clutch plates slip: the engine revs but the bike does not accelerate, and the plates glaze. A motorcycle also shares that oil with its gearbox, where gear teeth shear the oil far harder than anything in a car engine.
Not always. Most automatic scooters use a centrifugal clutch and a CVT that sits outside the engine oil, so they typically specify JASO MB, the low-friction grade. Geared motorcycles with a wet clutch need MA or MA2. Check the owner's handbook for the JASO rating your machine specifies rather than assuming, since fitting the wrong grade affects clutch behaviour directly.
10W-30 and 10W-40 suit most commuter and modern engines, with 10W-40 the most widely specified. 20W-40 and 20W-50 give a thicker film at temperature and are commonly used in hot climates, older engines and higher-mileage machines where clearances have opened up. Always start from the grade printed in the owner's handbook.
Unlike a car, most motorcycles use a single oil for the engine, the gearbox and the wet clutch. That oil has to lubricate bearings and cylinder walls, survive being sheared between gear teeth without permanently thinning, and hold precise friction characteristics for the clutch — three competing demands. Shear stability and anti-foaming performance matter far more here than in any car oil.
Yes. Tesla Power USA appoints distributors, wholesalers and importers by territory, with West Africa and East Africa currently prioritised — both regions with very large commuter and delivery two-wheeler populations. Workshop starter kits, bulk pricing and distributor partnerships are handled by the regional team, and motorcycle oil pairs naturally with the Dyno Pro two-wheeler battery range.
