Inverto Max Inverter Tubular

Heavy-duty inverter tubular batteries designed for extended backup - powering homes and businesses through prolonged outages.

The Challenge

Backup Duty Is the Hardest Job a Battery Does

A car battery is discharged for a few seconds and immediately recharged. A backup battery is drawn down deeply, night after night, and refilled from a grid that may itself be unstable. It is the same chemistry asked to do a completely different job — and it is why an ordinary flat-plate battery pressed into inverter service rarely lasts a year.

Three things kill it. Deep discharge makes the positive active material expand and contract until it sheds from the plate, and capacity falls away permanently. Heat accelerates grid corrosion and evaporates water, and in tropical conditions a battery in an unventilated corner runs hot for most of the year. And an unstable supply delivers voltage spikes and prolonged overcharging that an ordinary design is not built to absorb.

Inverto Max answers each directly: tubular positive plates that physically contain the active material through 1500 or more deep cycles, pressure die-cast multi-alloy spines resisting corrosion for a 5 to 7 year float life, tropical-grade heat dissipation with water loss cut by up to 50%, and overcharge tolerance for inconsistent grids. Supplied 100Ah to 220Ah at 12V, in tall and short tubular formats.

Core Performance

Engineered for Endurance.

Deep Cycle Design

Tubular positive plates with high-density active material deliver thousands of deep discharge-recharge cycles without capacity loss.

Spine Technology

Pressure die-cast spines with multi-alloy grid resist corrosion, ensuring 5+ years of dependable backup performance.

Fast Recharge

Optimized plate surface area and electrolyte circulation enable rapid charging - back to full capacity in significantly less time.

Tropical Grade

Designed for high-ambient-temperature environments with enhanced heat dissipation and water retention technology.

Advantages

Beyond Standard Backup.

Long Backup Hours

Higher Ah capacity and superior charge acceptance deliver extended power backup during prolonged outages.

Low Maintenance

Factory-charged with optimized electrolyte levels - requires minimal water topping across its entire lifespan.

Low Water Loss

Special alloy composition and sealed vent plugs reduce water evaporation by up to 50% compared to flat-plate batteries.

Overcharge Tolerant

Robust construction withstands voltage fluctuations and overcharging from inconsistent power grids without premature failure.

Selection Guide

Sizing Backup, and Why Tubular.

Two decisions matter: how much capacity the load needs, and which plate construction survives the duty.

Working Out Capacity

A 12V battery rated 150Ah holds roughly 1800 watt-hours on paper. Around 60 to 70% is usable without shortening life, and the inverter loses a further 10 to 15% converting DC to AC — so plan on roughly 1000 usable watt-hours. A 300W load of lights, fans and a television then runs about three hours.

Capacity Sets Duration, Not Load

A common misunderstanding: the inverter decides how much you can run at once, the battery decides how long. If appliances trip the system, the inverter is undersized. If backup runs out too soon, capacity is the constraint — and doubling backup time means doubling Ah.

Tall or Short Tubular

Tall tubular batteries use longer plates, generally giving higher capacity and longer backup where there is room for a taller container and trolley. Short tubular models fit restricted spaces while keeping the same tubular construction. Choose on available space and required backup hours.

Installation Matters

Ventilation is not optional. A battery in a closed cupboard runs hotter, ages faster and loses water more quickly, even with tropical-grade construction. Keep terminals clean and tight, and let the battery complete a full charge periodically rather than living in a partial state of charge.

Common Questions

Inverter Batteries, Answered.

Tubular construction, sizing, warranty and distribution — the questions households and trade buyers ask most about the Inverto Max range.

What is a tubular battery, and why is it better for inverter backup?

In a tubular battery the positive active material is held inside woven tubes supported by a cast spine, rather than pasted flat onto a grid. Deep discharge makes that material expand and contract, and in a flat-plate battery it gradually sheds and capacity falls away. The tube physically contains it. That is why tubular designs deliver 1500 or more deep cycles where a flat-plate battery in the same duty lasts a fraction as long.

How do I work out what capacity I need?

Add up the wattage of everything you want to run, then divide the battery's watt-hours by that load. A 150Ah 12V battery holds roughly 1800 watt-hours, but only around 60 to 70% is usable without shortening life, and inverter conversion loses a further 10 to 15%. Running 300W of lights, fans and a television draws on roughly 1000 usable watt-hours — about three hours. Doubling backup time means doubling capacity, not changing inverter.

What is the difference between an inverter and an inverter battery?

The inverter is the electronic unit that converts battery DC into mains AC and manages charging. The battery stores the energy. The inverter determines how much you can run at once; the battery determines how long you can run it. This page covers Inverto Max batteries — tall and short tubular, 100Ah to 220Ah at 12V.

What does tall tubular versus short tubular mean?

The distinction is physical height and the resulting plate area. Tall tubular batteries have longer plates, generally giving higher capacity and longer backup, and suit installations with room for a taller container and trolley. Short tubular models fit restricted spaces while retaining tubular construction. Both use the same plate technology; choose on available space and the backup hours needed.

What does a 36 to 60 month pro-rata warranty mean?

Pro-rata means cover reduces over the warranty term rather than staying full for its whole duration. A failure early in the term attracts a larger credit against a replacement than one near the end. It is standard for deep-cycle batteries because service life depends heavily on how the battery is used and charged. Exact terms are confirmed by the authorised distributor.

Can I distribute Inverto Max batteries in my country?

Yes. Tesla Power USA appoints distributors, wholesalers and importers by territory, with West Africa and East Africa currently prioritised — regions where grid outages make home and small-business backup a daily necessity rather than a contingency. Tropical grade construction and BIS IS 1651 and IEC 60896 certification support import and tender requirements.

Never in the Dark Again.

From homes to offices - Inverto Max delivers the deep-cycle backup power that millions depend on every day.
